Hi, I'm Eli.

My faith comes first. I'm part of Glory Fellowship, where I serve with the college and career group and on the praise and tech teams. I also spend a lot of time in a long, slow study of the Bible, and the maps on this site come out of that study. Beyond church, I support the Christian rock band Nine Lashes behind the scenes.

Family is right behind it. My wife Bella and I live in Gardendale, Alabama, with our baby daughter, and most of what I do outside of work is built around the two of them.

By trade, I'm a software engineer. My day job is building real-time video and imaging software in modern C++ and Qt, running on embedded NVIDIA Jetson hardware.

I got here the long way. Before software, I worked as an engineering technician: running IT and network installs, flying drones and processing the point clouds, and doing environmental permitting and monitoring work. That mix taught me to care about how things work in the field, not just on a whiteboard.
